I have discovered a fantastic blog filled with recipes and how to’s for fermenting food including condiments! The more I read and learn, and observe, the more convinced I am that all disease, including obesity, begins in the gut. Our modern genetically modified world has become super efficient – it’s true – and food is cheap, easy and convenient – and DEADLY. In my opinion we are literally eating ourselves to death – and that is whether we eat too much or not enough. The fact is our food is contaminated. We can eat cleaner, and that is what we should all strive to do. All we can do is our best.
Making your own condiments is not as difficult as it sounds – and by making fermented condiments, you are feeding the healthy flora in your gut everytime you consume them. Years ago, our fore mothers fermented or otherwise preserved food. It was not available in the supplies that it is today.
